Position description
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Allison University invites applications to teach the following courses in French language during the Fall & Winter semesters of the 2025-2026 academic year. These are stipendiary (part-time) appointments under the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Allison Faculty Association’s Part-Time Collective Agreement. Successful applicants will have an M.A. or PhD in French studies. Native or near-native fluency in French is essential, as is experience teaching university-level French language to non-native speakers.

Candidates may submit one application for as many of the following courses as they see fit.

- Winter Semester: Intermediate French II / Français intermédiaire II (FREN 1711)
- Winter Semester: Preparatory French/ Français préparatoire (FREN 1651)

- A cover letter outlining relevant experience
- A statement of teaching philosophy
- The names of two referees that can comment on the applicant’s experience along with contact information
